Meet Dr. Wells

Dr. Brandi Wells is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist with school-based and clinical experience with children and adolescents with learning, emotional and behavioral challenges. Her goal in working with children and collaborating with families is to improve the overall quality of life for youth and their families by providing services that help them gain a better understanding of how they learn, improve the overall quality of their educational experiences, offer research-based interventions to build resilience, normalize difficult feelings and experiences, and to prevent the development of more serious problems.

With 20+ years of experience, Dr. Wells specializes in conducting comprehensive psychological/psychoeducational evaluations with culturally and linguistically diverse children and adolescents. She helped hundreds of children by providing comprehensive assessments for various reasons including diagnostic clarification, learning disabilities (i.e., dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia), ADHD, depression and anxiety difficulties, intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. The evaluation can be used for private school admission and program planning, special education eligibility determination, Independent Education Evaluations (IEEs), and Katie Beckett Deeming Waiver eligibility.

Experience in School Settings

Dr. Wells has provided services in public schools, virtual learning environments, specialized treatment facilities and private practice. As a certified school psychologist and several years working with private and public school districts, she also provides school consultation for educational programming and decision making. Dr. Wells is well-informed in school intervention programs such as the Early Intervention Program (EIP), Response to Intervention (RtI), 504 accommodation plans, and special education procedures (eligibility and Individualized Education Program, IEP). She regularly participates in special education eligibility and IEP meetings. She also consults with parents of children with learning, emotional and/or behavioral difficulties.
